In a troubling event, an Air India flight heading to Mumbai experienced health issues among its passengers and crew. On Monday, the airline reported that five passengers and two crew members felt dizzy and nauseous during the flight. Fortunately, the aircraft landed safely in Mumbai, where a medical team was prepared to assist.
Passengers aboard Air India Flight 130 reported feeling unwell at various points during the journey.
Medical Assistance Provided to Affected Individuals
All seven individuals who reported symptoms were taken for medical evaluation upon landing and were later discharged. An Air India spokesperson stated, "The flight landed safely in Mumbai, where our medical teams were ready to provide immediate assistance. After landing, two passengers and two cabin crew members who continued to feel unwell were taken to the medical room for further examination and were later discharged. We are investigating the incident and have duly notified the regulator."
Separate Incident Involving Jammu-Bound Flight
Air India also confirmed that the incident has been reported to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the aviation safety regulator. In another occurrence earlier on the same day, a Jammu-bound Air India Express flight IX2564 had to return mid-flight due to suspected GPS signal interference. Passengers were subsequently transferred to a replacement aircraft.
